Scrap4Brains- Blog Hostess- July 31

My week as blog hostess is almost over. Today is my second-to-last chance to tell you all about me. So much to tell you! Let me use a technique featured in this month's journaling challenge, hosted by Diana... top 10 list!

TOP 10 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT SCRAP4BRAINS

10. I am an exclusive designer at Digitals. This means that my designs are not for sale anywhere else - only at the Digitals Store.

9. I create based on need. "Requests" have been taken before, but most of the time, if I am not familiar with the requested subject, I do not feel comfortable enough to make a kit.

8. I studied Chinese Mandarin when I was in the Air Force, and also lived in Taiwan for some time. This is the inspiration of my Asian-themed kits, especially my "Year of the ... " Kits which are based on the Lunar New Year and the animals that represent them.

Where is 2007? Well, that was in the middle of a difficult personal time for me, so I never got around to designing a 2007 kit. If I get enough emails for it, though, then I will go back. So far, no one seems to miss it.

7. Contrary to the Adopted Daughter Kit name, I never adopted a daughter. I do however, have a beautiful step-daughter.

6. I live in Charleston, SC and I love it! Some days I love more than others... lately, the heat and all the rain and making it hard for me to love. But generally speaking, I do love it here.

5. Backgrounds are the hardest for me to design. In fact, I have a few kits in the works that I just cannot finish because the backgrounds are still missing.

4. The Polar Express Blog Train was my first real daily blogging. This week is a continuation. I have found blogging daily to be harder than it looks.

3. I would like to one day take a formal Photoshop class. I must confess that I've learned much of my "techniques" by just clicking and playing!

2. I watch a lot of Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon... even when the kids are not with me. Watching those same shows and channels makes me feel as if I'm closer to the kids when they are not around.

1. I really - REALLY - like designing and would like to one day design for commercials! I'd also like to do the voice-overs for commercial jingles. In the meantime, I'll do what I can to improve my skills and continue to enjoy being a Digitals Designer.

Thanks so much for reading!

First of all your kits are gorgeous and I have the Year of the Dog one. I enjoyed reading about you and I wish you good luck on doing voice-overs. What fun! I know you can do it. I used to work at my local CBS affiliate until my husband and I brought our baby girl home from China and I did a few voice-overs and I loved it! Your kits are wonderfuland since I don't ever see too many asian themed ones, it is so nice to see them. Thanks for the freebie too. :)

hugs,
Jonni
