I had time to create a few layouts from some pictures I took last week. They are of my sons, taken the same day and time. While Kyle was practicing his sax, Jack was discovering a few things about his iPod that his learned from a library book. Please click on the pictures for details and full credit lists.
Though I am very proud that they are so unique, I sometimes wonder how they could be so different and so similar at the same time. Weird, isn't it? They were/are raised together, I have always strived to treat them equally, and yet they grew up/are growing up to be so different in personality and demeanor. As Jack's favorite Doctor Who would say, "Humans are amazing!"
These layouts were actually not created for a Digitals challenge... I've been so busy that I usually need inspiration from the monthly challenges to get me to scrap. These, however, were created because I really liked the photos and wanted to show off my boys.
I used two of my favorite kits to create these layouts, Primary Notes and Talented.
Primary Notes is one of my favorites because of its simplicity and versatility. This kit can be used for anything. You will note that the preview for Primary Notes has my "old" name on it... forgive me for still not taking the time to create a new preview. I'd have to go and rename all the files, too, and re-upload... sigh... so much to do, so little time. (Wish I had that time machine like Doctor Who!)
Talented was originally created because I needed some elements for when I was on another design team. It was hard for me to round it out into a kit... I have the hardest time with backgrounds! I knew that I'd eventually use it for something my kids would do... they have so much potential. If they go to the "dark side", however, they will eventually become evil geniuses. HA!
Remember that these kits, and everything else in my Digitals Store, will be available for 30% off through July 31st. Thanks for coming by today... "talk" to you again tomorrow!

Thanks for a beautiful addition to the album! Dont feel so bad about the boys being so different. I have a 17 yr old sister & we are opposite from hair color & size to personality. LOL!!!
Gorgeous layouts of your sons - I like the corkboard effect you used to scrap the photos of Jack - I'll have to try a similar layout.
Thanks for sharing another "wild page" - it's a neat album!!
