TGIF!!!!!!!!!

What a fun week it's been hosting the blog here. I do apologize for not making it in here yesterday, I got swamped at work and then spent the evening straightening out the roster and working on everything for Ollie's spring hockey league. I'm getting the jerseys this afternoon and have to get them organized to hand out at tomorrow's game.

With summer coming, our household is in count down mode for vacation. We are once again going to our favorite beach .... MYRTLE BEACH! As of today, we have 66 days before we leave. The boys started counting back around 145 days till departure. Yes, we make our reservations pretty early! Due to my love of the beach and our vacations at Myrtle Beach, I've already made two summer kits and I'm sure I have more to come. I have tons and tons of pictures from our trips!

Here are two of my earliest kits and yet still two of my favorites:

The previews on thes just don't do them justice. There are additional previews in the store which show you how many fun things these kits include.

You can find Shades of Summer Bright here, and Shades of Summer Light here.

Also, I have a great Dream Your Own Monogram for Summer kit that coordinates beautifully with the Shades of Summer Bright kit.

Because I've enjoyed being here so much this week, and it's Friday and I'm excited about vacation in 66 days, I've put the two summer kits on sale for $2.50 and the monogram kit on sale for $2.00. HUGE bargain. AND, just to throw in an extra, here is a little sampler that coordinates with Shades of Summer Bright that I offered on my blog a while back.

You can download the freebie here.

I hope you've enjoyed the goodies this week. You can always catch up with my latest news and rambling on my blog.

Have a great day!

Humpy Day!

Woohooooo 1/2 way through the work week today. Gotta love that!

The weather is supposed to be warm and beautiful today and tomorrow. I'm itching to get outside and play in the dirt again. Tonight I can't do too much because Ollie has clinic at 9:00 p.m. so we have to leave the house no later than 8:00 p.m. Doesn't leave me much time after having to take care of dinner, etc.

I know you must all know about the challenges at Digitals each month, but do you know if you do all the challenges you end up with a spectacular coordinated mega kit? I host the Scraplift challenge each month and the ladies who participate really do a great job with the challenge. You can find this month's challenge in the forum here.

Here is a preview of the bonus for completing the challenge this month:

Have you ever wanted/needed a custom kit for something? I've done two custom kits and really enjoyed doing them. Here are the two custom kits I've done and recently I ended up doing an add-on alpha for both of them.

I've put both Peggy's Rose and Rachel & Friends on sale today for only $2.50. These are big full size kits so it's a huge bargain (over 50% off!). Don't forget you can purchase them and also use the coupon on my blog if you purchase $10 or more from my store. I'm working on getting Rachel & Friends Alpha into the store this morning. You can find the coupon on my blog here. You can find my store at Digitals here.

Have a great day!

Playing in the dirt ...

I'm so happy that Spring is making an appearance here and that I spent time yesterday "playing in the dirt". I got about 1/2 my flower beds cleaned out and ready for Spring. I need to finish the rest of them, get some new mulch down and get some spring flowers I purchased planted. Every spring I buy at a discount Daffodils, Tulips and Hyacinth that have already bloomed for the season. I put them in the ground and the next spring I have even more spring flowers to admire. Hubby teased me the first year about "planting dead plants"... but he's now the first one to suggest going up to the nursery to see if they have any "dead plants". Once everything is cleaned up, it's a waiting game until May before I get any more plants. It's tradition that the boys buy me my summer flowers each year for Mother's Day. They've given me as many as 15 flats in years past, but I've planted so many perrenials now that I don't have as much room for the annuals. I just happy to have a jump on the clean up, some years I don't get to get it done until Mother's Day and then I have to clean up and plant all at once! Eeekkk!

Speaking of spring, have you seen my Dream Your Own Monogram for Spring? It was the idea of one of our wonderful members (Erica) to have monograms that you could "customize". I ran with the idea and it sparked my series of Dream Your Own Monogram kits. I have a school one in progress and would like to do some others. The first one (Spring) is my favorite and I have used it over and over, including in my blog header.

You can find it in the Digitals store here for $2.00 only for today.

Monday, Monday ...

Good morning! I apologize for not making it in here yesterday, I kind of figured the day was going to take over. I'll have to find a way to make up for it today. My birthday was busy, but good. Ollie had clinic in the morning with his high school team, they had a guest trainer and he was spectacular. The trainer was Randy Velischek who used to play in the NHL including for the Devils. He ran some great drills and is coming back for next week's clinic also. Then there was a game in the afternoon with his travel team. They won 6-0 and everyone played well. Then it was dinner at one of my favorite Italian restuarants. Yummmmmmmm it was super good last night. Hubby had already gotten me the new printer a few weeks ago, so I didn't want any gifts. But the boys still gave me cards and two pairs of flip-flops from j.crew. I LOVE cute flip-flops and have quite the collection of them that I wear the minute the weather even thinks of getting warm.

Have to run get ready for work, but I'll be back today with something special for you.

April 19, 2008

Good morning ...

It's my turn this week to introduce myself. My name is Georgia Oliver (Dreams Ink! Digital Designs) and you see me in the forum and gallery as dreamsnj. I am happily married and have one son (15 yr. old) and six fur babies (translated cats). I am a wife, hockey mom, office manager and designer. Who has time for much else? LOL I have a hard time saying no and invariably volunteer for too many things. I manage my son's travel hockey team and try to help out with the high school team too. Hubby takes pictures of his games so I am in charge of editing and distribution.

I've been a scrapper for probably most of my life in one way or another. I used to make all kinds of collage things in those old magnetic photo albums as a kid. I altered clipboards back in grade school by cutting out magazine stuff, photos, etc. and collaging them on the clipboard covered in Elmer's glue. Seems I've always had to have some sort of craft, from cross stitch to scrapping, you name it, I've probably tried to dabble in it. I discovered digital scrapbooking in the fall of 2005 and was hooked instantly. Immediately I started trying to figure out how to make things myself. I started on a couple of CT and by the next spring I was dabbling in design.

Here's my latest kit:

My Dahlia was inspired by a Dahlia from my garden last fall, golden dreams mingle with shades of reds and pinks to dance on your pages. . . Bursting with vibrant colors and fresh flowers, My Dahlia is perfect for your spring and summer layouts. You’ll love the lively geometrics, beautiful blooms, and silver accents featured in this stunning collection.

You can find it in the Digitals store here, for a special price of $3.37 (that's 25% off) through tomorrow. I also have a special blog hopping coupon on my blog which invites you to savings in celebration of my birthday which is tomorrow. You can find my personal blog here and the coupon here.

Please feel free to ask questions this week to get to know me and I'll do a response each day to the questions. Tomorrow is my birthday and Ollie (my son) has a clinic in the morning and game in the afternoon, so you never know when I'm going to stop in! LOL

Have a wonderful day!
